Australians for Native Title and Reconciliation (ANTaR)

Origins:

ANTaR was established 24 years ago in recognition of the rights and reconciliation issues experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and leaders as a result of dispossession of traditional lands, cultural disintegration and social and economic marginalisation.

About ANTaR:

ANTaR is a national, independent advocacy organisation dedicated specifically to the rights and overcoming the disadvantage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. They aim to achieve justice and equality for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by working to gain support for key social justice issues from non-Indigenous Australians. Through primarily lobbying, public campaigns and advocacy, ANTaR strives to achieve its objectives and continue to campaign for Justice, Rights and Respect for Australia’s First Peoples.
