NASCA

Origins:

NASCA’s journey commenced in 1995 when its founder David Liddiard, a former professional rugby league player, decided to establish an Aboriginal not-for-profit organisation following his retirement from sport. NASCA was created as a means of using sport to enact change in the lives of young Aboriginal people. Over the past 26 years since its founding, NASCA has evolved in its approach: from a sport-focused approach to a community development approach to bring about long-term change within young people and their communities.

About NASCA:

NASCA is a not-for-profit organisation that uses the power of structured sport and cultural programs to harness the educational, health and work aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. By designing and implementing programs that respond to the community’s needs, are flexible and culturally safe and benefit 1200 young people annually, NASCA works actively towards creating whole communities of healthy and prosperous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Let’s help NASCA in supporting our indigenous community to access opportunities and achieve their greatest potential!
